1. FUNCTIONAL PRINCIPLE
Safe production initiation: The subsurface safety valve opens to permit fluid flow, while the bleed valve vents gas separated by electrical submersible pumps (ESP) through the annulus. Emergency or planned shutdown: Rapid pressure release instantly closes both valves, isolating the tubing and annulus to secure the well against kicks or other hazards.
